Fireplace HUB

Fireplace HUB

Discover trends – share knowledge

The fireplace HUB represents an additional added value for fireplace(r)s.

trendfairs establishes a valuable industry portal for knowledge transfer and networking. Speakers provide information about trends and innovations in the industry. Decision-makers from business and associations enter into dialogue with trade visitors.

The fireplace HUB offers informative program items every day during the trade fair and is free of charge for HUB visitors.

‘With the new edition of WOF, as a partner of the trade fair, we stand for innovative strength, safety and continuity for trade, craft and industry. In addition to sustainable and ecological heating solutions, the trade fair also offers holistic complete solutions for building heating, building technology and energy efficiency in the form of hybrid heating concepts. With the WOF, we combine tradition and innovation and offer a central dialogue platform for the industry and political discourse with the HUB. Personal dialogue is at the heart of everything we do. In this way, we all work together to ensure that our companies and consumers act in a more climate-friendly way. After all, modern fireplaces and innovative secondary measures help to reduce emissions from fossil fuels and further curb the greenhouse effect. We are all looking forward to an exciting time at the trade fair!’

Frank Kienle
Managing Director, HKI

‘There is a fiery debate about heating with wood. Modern fireplaces are in high demand and, in our view, indispensable for the energy and heating transition. The ‘WORLD OF FIREPLACES’ offers the entire OfenBau association and its members an ideal platform for innovative solutions and modern technologies, for a well-founded professional and technical exchange and a discourse on important future topics. Our fireplaces are the centre and meeting point for everyone who wants to stay in touch. We look forward to making contact with the participants in Leipzig. As an organisation representing the interests of the trade, industry and wholesale, the GVOB is committed to the ecological and economical thermal use of wood. As a strong voice of the industry - for the future of stove construction.’

Robert Mülleneisen
CEO, GVOB

‘As regenerative and climate-friendly heat sources, wood-burning stoves avoid CO2 emissions and, with the fuels logs, pellets or wood chips, represent sensible alternatives to existing fossil heating systems or as a supplement to an existing heating system. Modern biomass systems are low in pollutants and have an efficiency of over 90%. Boilers with condensing technology can achieve even higher efficiencies. We expect interesting presentations and discussions at the WORLD OF FIREPLACES on the topics of climate protection, emission control and affordable heat energy. The operational and fire safety of heat generators should also not be neglected and will be a topic at the Fireplace HUB. The chimney sweep trade is in favour of a heating market that is open to all technologies and a climate-friendly energy mix that also makes sense from an economic point of view. We hope that the discussion at the WORLD OF FIREPLACES will be as free of ideology as possible and that we will take part in the professional dialogue with manufacturers, associations, politicians and trade visitors on the subject of heating.’

‘Heat from wood is reliable and sustainable. Only if we use this technology without ideology as part of a sensible overall strategy will we as a society be able to master the major challenges of our time. The stove, regardless of whether it is an industrial fireplace or a handcrafted tiled stove, is part of an innovative heating concept that will continue to provide Germany with a secure supply in the coming years. We must work together to achieve this and also find answers to questions posed by politics and society. The industry must present itself just as innovatively as our products are. We cordially invite you to be part of this movement.’

Uwe Striegler, Ursula Gröbner
Europäische Feuerstätten Arbeitsgmeinschaft (EFA)

‘According to the state of the art, domestic wood firing systems with the lowest pollutant emissions are equipped with air control, operating data recording and exhaust gas cleaning such as catalytic converters and dust separators. Firewood consumption can also be reduced by combining it with other renewable energies.’

Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Ingo Hartmann
DBFZ Deutsches Biomasseforschungszentrum gemeinnützige GmbH

‘Only if combustion systems are constantly developed further and thus become more efficient and lower in emissions can they continue to make their important contribution as a renewable source of space heating in the future. To achieve this, combustion systems must become robust against operating errors. User training should play a central role alongside technical development.’
